Do not place Trash & Debris at curbside until the evening prior to pickup.  We are starting to receive complaints that trash & debris are being left at the curbside for days prior to pickup, and this in the long run depreciates the subdivisions curbside appeal

Please clean up after your pet (dog) waste, especially in neighboring yards and on the sidewalk.  Thanks for your attention to this matter.

The next Board Meeting is the Annual Board meeting scheduled for February 27, 2008, 6:30 at the Mason Public Library.

(Helpful hint: Get the license plate number).

Question: What do I do if there is an issue with a Street Light?
Answer: You should place a service call into DUKE at 421-9500 (this is the number to call regarding bulb issues/outages).  For Street Light painting/maintenance requests should be directed to Dan at DUKE Customer Service 287-4224 x6342.

Question: What constitutes an authorized property improvement?
Answer: Any structure that does not violate existing Protective Covenants and Restrictions.

Question: Is there any action that can be taken to force a homeowner to maintain their yard?
Answer: The action should be on the part of the Township. You should contact the Warren County Sheriff.  If the property is vacant, you can call the Warren County Health Department at 695-1228 and find out if grass height is in violation of the Health Code and have them review the issue.

Question: Does Warren County have in place an ordinance relative to the parking and/or storing of recreational vehicles?
Answer: Yes, Deerfield Township has such an ordinance, requiring mandatory fencing of a specific minimum height. You should write a letter to Towne Properties directing the Board of Trustees to take action, that action being to notify the Township of the specific violation.

Question: Are there any restrictions on fencing?
Answer: There is no ordinance regarding the type of materials used in fencing, although there are restrictions relative to setback, etc.

Question: Will fire lanes be established in the subdivision?
Answer: This was explored in the past year (1999). The Township Fire Chief visited the subdivision and determined that the existing streets were wide enough not to merit them.
